Various types of bio-medical wastes are generated in hospitals, dispensaries and in pharma manufacturing plants in considerable amounts which must be shredded/ destroyed before being scrapped or recycled to avoid any misuse and to dispose it of safely.

Amey Engineers offers PS and PS H series of medium to heavy duty dual shaft shredders which are suitable for shredding all kinds of biomedical wastes like scrap syringes, needles, injections, catheters, inhaler cartridges, wearable wastes like masks, head caps, gloves, uniforms, googles etc.

PS and PS H series of shredders are powered by IP rated Induction motor(single/3  phase) ranging from 2 to 12.5 hp. These shredders use AMEY make inhouse designed high safety factor gearbox for speed reduction and torque transmission. Cutter rotational speed is around 35 rpm. Cutters come with variety of tooth configurations(Milled, serrated, Multi point toothed type etc.).   Standard feed widths across PS and PS H series of shredders vary from 310 mm to 610 mm which is suitable for proper feeding.  Throughput obtained varies from 50 to 200 kg/hr across PS and PS H shredder range and also depends on type and size of material fed into the shredder.

Depending on the customer requirement, various add on configurations like dust separator arrangement, discharge conveyor arrangement etc can also be provided. 

Standard models in PS & PS H range of shredders are: PS 300, PS 400, PS 300 H, PS 400 H, PS 600 H. (For customers having still higher throughput requirements, SM and SM HD series of heavy duty shredders are also available.)
