Various types of metal wastes are generated everyday, from households to large industries and all such scrap metal wastes must be first shredded to reduce their form and ensure efficiency during further processes like recovery and recycling.

Amey Engineers offers heavy duty SM HD range of dual and four shaft shredders for shredding all types of metal wastes. The types  of metal wastes that can be shredded by SM HD series shredders include scrap sheet metal waste from industrial fabrication works, scrap plates (upto 4 mm thickness), scrap metal roofing sheets (M.S., AL, or asbestos), aluminium bales, all types of e-wastes, household metallic items like key-chains, pens, wrist watches etc, food cans, beverage cans, paint tins and other aluminium and tin-plated steel cans, all types of utensils (of M.S., S.S., AL, Brass), and other scrap metal wastes.

SM HD series of shredders come with 3 phase IP rated TEFC Induction motors ranging from 25 hp to 120 hp. These motors are from reputed OEM's like SIEMENS, ABB, CG, Bharat Bijlee.  Amey Engineers uses in-house designed high safety factor multi-stage reduction gearbox for velocity reduction and torque transmission for these shredders. Such design ensures long service life of gears.  Drive shafts and cutters are  made  from special alloy steel and cutters come with Milled and multi-point toothed roll configurations. Standard feed widths are from 310 mm to 810 mm however  for custom models, even higher feed widths(greater than 1 meter) can be provided according to the size of fed material.  Throughput obtained can be upto 10 tonnes/hr depending on the type of feed and rate of feed input.

Custom arrangements like extended feed hoppers, different hopper types, automatic feeding system, discharge conveyor system, dust separator arrangement etc can be provided.  Other features include  extremely sturdy base frame construction, easy servicing, low maintenance, easy installation (no extra foundation is required) and operator safe design.  SM HD series of shredders are available in M.S. or S.S. MoC.   Standard models include: SM 300 HD, SM 400 HD, SM 600 HD, SM 800 HD. (High configuration make-to-order models are also available as per customer's requirements).
